I didn't think I would make it this far. Today is Baby Alsman's due date. I don't think he or she will be born today. We are just hoping that Baby A will wait until after Christmas now. We will update later with pictures (I was hoping we would have pics of the baby at this point). Don't think I can get much bigger! I go back to the doctor tomorrow. Let's hope for some good news.
I went to the doctor this morning. I still haven't made any progress. Sad! I am still going to work and have two more days left (if I can make it). With the snowstorm yesterday during rush hour, it took 4 hours to get home. No fun for a VERY pregnant girl to be driving in! We are supposed to have another storm tomorrow but this one will be more ice. I may have to call in sick!!!
I go back to the doctor on Tuesday, the 23rd. We will discuss an induction at that point. I hope I have the baby over the weekend!!!
Here are some more belly pics! Wish they were baby pics at this point. We are getting very anxious and can't wait to have our son or daughter with us. I have 4 more days of work and hope this week goes by quickly!! I go back to the doctor on Wednesday. I am hoping I have progressed. I am trying to walk a lot and am trying to be very active. I hope it helps!!! I went to the doctor yesterday. I am still not dilated yet. The doctor said if I haven't had the baby by my due date (the 22nd), they usually wait a week to induce. So as of right now, she said she would probably induce on Dec. 30th. Let's hope Baby Alsman wants to come on his or her own before then. I don't think I can be pregnant for 19 more days. I have been really tired lately and am ready for Baby A. to be born. The girls at work had a little shower for me on Monday. It was really nice and we had some yummy red velvet cake! I am hoping to make it to Grant's Work Christmas Party on Saturday night. It is at the River North Art Center downtown so it should be really neat.
38 Week Pictures! Some people have told me they think my belly has dropped. When compared to 37 weeks, it looks a little lower!?! It could just be wishful thinking! I go back to the doctor on Wednesday.
Here are some belly pictures from Week 36! As you can see, Baby Alsman keeps on growing. We had our 36 week appointment today. I am not dilated at all but Baby A.'s head is down (confirmed by ultrasound). We didn't get to see all of Baby A. because my doctor didn't want us to find out the sex by accident. Things are still going well except for the horrible back pain I have been experiencing over the last two weeks.
Wow, time is flying by! Baby Alsman continues to grow and has found mommy's ribs!!! We can't believe we only have about 6 weeks left. We started our prenatal class last week and have 3 classes left. Grant thought the breathing and relaxation part was funny and he almost started laughing when the instructor was telling us to imagine ourselves in a forest, etc. 
I went to the doctor again on Wednesday! I met another one of the doctors in the practice. Everything is going well and Baby Alsman's heart rate is in the 120s (which the doctor said was right on track). Baby A. has been VERY active lately and really enjoys kicking mommy. We may have a future soccer player on our hands!
Grant and I went to St. Louis last weekend for my friend, Michelle's, wedding. We had a lot of fun and the wedding was beautiful. We took a tour of the Anheuser-Busch Brewery. Grant and my family were happy that they got my free beer!Grant and I have decided on names for Baby Alsman. Some of you may already know them, but we decided we would share them with everyone. If Baby Alsman is a boy, his name will be Aidan Bennett Alsman. If Baby Alsman is a girl, her name will be Caitlin Rose Alsman! We can't believe we will meet our sweet little baby in about 8 weeks.
Baby Alsman continues to get bigger each week! He or she is moving around alot and is beginning to make mommy uncomfortable. But, knowing that Baby A. continues to grow makes all the pain worth it!! My 32 Week appointment is on Wednesday! We hope everything continues to go well!
I went to the doctor on Oct. 14th for my 30 week check-up. I had to see my doctor's PA because she was in a delivery! The PA said that Baby Alsman's heartbeat was very fast, which is usually a sign that it is a girl. But, then she said I was carrying more like it's a boy. So, it is still a mystery!!! Everything else is going well and I go back in 2 weeks to meet one of the other OBs.
Grant and I went down to Evansville this past weekend for our first baby shower! We had a great time! On Saturday, we went to the Evansville Fall Festival and Grant enjoyed all of his old favorite foods (haystacks, pronto pups, etc.). The shower was on Sunday and was so nice! Cheryl, Brooke and Joey hosted the shower and we can't thank them enough for all they did! We loved everything about it and want to thank everyone for their generosity!! We also had fun playing with our nieces, Laney and Hadley. We can't believe how big they are getting!!

I went for my 28 Week appt. on Sept. 30th. I had to have an ultrasound because my placenta was low and the doctor was worried about it. But, after the ultrasound, my placenta moved, so that is great news!! We got to see a few more pictures of Baby Alsman!!! He or She weighs 2 lbs. 13 oz. right now and is in the 50th-75th percentile according to the doctor! Everything looks great. Baby Alsman has also been VERY active over the last few weeks. As you can see in the ultrasound picture, Baby A. already knows how to suck his or her thumb!!! We have a smart one on our hands! Grant and I can't believe we only have about 12 more weeks until we get to meet our baby. We are so excited and hope these last weeks go by fast.
My belly has done ALOT of growing over the last 4 weeks!! Baby Alsman is getting bigger!! I am going for my 28 week appointment on Tuesday, the 30th. I will be getting another ultrasound because the doctor needs to monitor my placenta. Let's all pray that is has moved up!!! Hopefully, we will get another picture of our little girl or boy!!!!!

Grant has been anxiously awaiting the first time he could feel the baby kick. He had thought he felt it over the last few weeks but wasn't sure about what he was feeling. But, last night the baby gave a very strong kick and he definitely felt it!!! It was very exciting to finally have Grant share in that experience!
I thought I was feeling the baby move at around 19 weeks! At 20 weeks, I knew it was for real because I could actually see Baby A move. Grant wasn't able to see it yet! Hopefully he will be able to see it and feel it soon!
We had our 20 Week ultrasound on August 5, 2008. Our baby finally looks like a baby, yay!!! It was exciting to see all the baby's body parts. We couldn't believe how much the technician could see and measure! We were able to see the head, arms, legs, heart, kidneys, feet, etc. She could even see the baby's lips (those were a little harder for us to see). Our baby measured right on target in the 50th percentile! We are very excited to find out if it is a girl or boy in December!!!! Baby Alsman was moving around like crazy right before we went in for the ultrasound. He/She must've been getting ready for their TV debut! It made for bad positioning for the ultrasound, oh well!!!
We went to the doctor again on June 10th for my 12 week visit. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat! It was so neat to know that Baby Alsman was still growing!
